Sarkozy's approval at least in the middle of the French record strikes

PARIS (AP)--a new survey indicates the rating of confidence of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy has dropped to its lowest level yet in the midst of pension protests generated shortages of gas, closures of chaos and school travel.

The survey, published Sunday in the newspaper the Sunday newspaper showed that only 29% of those interviewed were satisfied with its performance.
