Cleveland Orchestra seeks to encourage young fans

CLEVELAND (AP) - the Orchestra in Cleveland plans offer children under 18 free admission to many of its performance to foster new generations of viewers.

Young adults aged 18 to 34 special online discounts will be offered in another part of the effort announced Tuesday.

Director of the Orchestra executive Gary Hanson tells the Plain Dealer newspaper Orchestra seeks to enhance its "relevance" and build audiences.

Next summer, children under the age of 18 years will be a free entrance tickets for the performances in the Blossom Music Center .the amphitheatre lawn ' offer will eventually extend to some or all the Orchestra concert hall performances.

CEO marketing Ross Binnie, explains the Orchestra wants to fill each seat.
