Home Electronics You Just Can?t Live Without

Television, stereo, MP3 players, computers – which of those home electronics items can you just not live without? Ever wonder which up and coming home electronics technology you will not be able to live without tomorrow? Take a look at this top selling list of home electronics items that many people have decided that they need in their lives and see how you stack up to the cutting edge crowd.

Televisions

Televisions are at the top of the list of home electronics that everybody has to have. The top sellers of today were not even available just a few years ago. Flat screen wall hung televisions are high on the list of must-haves, in sizes as large as 103 inches. The most popular best sellers are 26 inch LCD screens, which offer a great combination of value and luxury, but if you can swing a grand or so, you can choose between plasma and LCD screens in the 42 inch size.

Home Theater

Home theater components are a close second to televisions. Surround sound speakers and mounting racks can help turn your television into a fully integrated home theater system with stereo sound and adjustable viewing angles so you can enjoy your television from anywhere in the room.

Radios and Stereo Systems

Stereo systems and radios are still high on the desirable list for home electronics, though they are rapidly changing to keep up with today’s technology. CD players have been overtaken by iPod docks and speaker systems that get great sound from the little Apple audio MP3 player. IPod docks are in a class of their own, and feature everything from a charging stand to clock radios and alarm clocks to wake you in the morning. One favorite system is the jWIN Bluetooth Docking Station with MP3, CD and Dual Alarm, replacing your favorite old-fashioned clock radio.

CD Players

CD players are not completely obsolete, though. In fact, the Sony Walkman is making a comeback in Japan (as an MP3 player). Here in the US CD players are hitting it on the novelty market, like a slim CD player with kitchen timer and AM/FM radio designed to be installed under the kitchen cabinets to save on counter space.

GPS Units

GPS units like the Garmin are rapidly becoming a must for your car. Starting at about 5 for an Alpine GPS and ranging up to about 0 for Magellan, TomTom and Garmin, GPS mapping devices can guarantee that you’ll never get lost on the road again. GPS isn’t just for cars anymore either. GPS technology is making it into other personal electronics like cell phones and personal trainers that can track your heart rate and your location.

Home Security Systems

Home security systems and home surveillance systems are high on the list of safety-based home electronics. From nanny-cams that hook up to your computer to high-def security cameras equipped with Night Vision, security systems that let you keep an eye on your home are among the top sellers in the home electronics division.

DVD/DVR

DVD/DVR players and recorders are still high on the list of wanted items for home entertainment systems. Whether you want to watch rented movies or record your favorite television shows for later watching, the low prices on DVD/R combos are a big hit with home electronics users. The most popular players and DVRs feature BluRay technology for higher resolution and much higher storage space on the discs.

Video Cameras

Video Cameras have dropped in price to the point where they are being made in kid colors with Mickey Mouse and Barbie on the label. Still, nearly every home has at least one hand-held video camera or a digital camera that records video clips. For those with more sophisticated tastes, there are high end digital video cameras with video editing capabilities that rival studio editing. To go along with those video cameras and digital cameras, there are some other home accessories, like digital photo frames and camera accessory kits. Most wanted grandma gift – digital photo key chains loaded with up to 50 photos of her favorite grandchild.

Playstation and Nintendo

Game systems are right up at the top of the list for most homes with kids and the majority of homes with no kids. The most popular gaming system this year – and probably next? The Nintendo Wii, which has interactivity features that have even made it popular with schools. Of course, to make the most of your Wii, you need to invest in some of the specialized controllers that will have you hopping, ducking, twisting and turning your way through games that include tennis, golf and even carrying a tray of food through a busy diner? Who knew you could make that into a fun, competitive game?

Battery Chargers

Battery chargers and cradle chargers are one necessity that most homes are starting to recognize. With so many items using a charger to keep their energy up, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with a cradle charger that can charge all of your home electronics from just one outlet. With all these cool electronics, it’s an absolute must.
